B Businessly Terms

Terms of Service

Effective 14 September 2026 · Applies to the Businessly app on Android (com.zak.businessly) and on Windows.

Businessly is a digital khata for small shopkeepers. These terms are the agreement between you and the developer when you use the app. They are written to match what the app actually does. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

1Who provides Businessly

Businessly is made and operated by Zubair Ahmed Khan, an individual developer based in Pakistan. For any question about these terms, about your account, or about a purchase: appzubair@gmail.com.

2Who may use the app

Businessly is a business tool intended for users 18 and over. It is not directed at children. You may use it for your own shop or business records, and for any lawful purpose.

You may use the app without an account. In that case everything stays on your device. Signing in is optional, and unlocks cloud sync across your devices and backup to your own Google Drive.

3Your account

You may sign in with a Google account or with an email sign-in code. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure, because whoever can read your sign-in code can reach your synced ledger.

Please give accurate details, and do not sign in as someone else or share one account in a way that lets another person see records they should not see.

We may suspend or remove an account that is used to break the law, to attack the service or other users, or to abuse the purchase system. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a way to export your data.

4Your data stays yours

You own the records you create. Your customers, sales, purchases, payments, balances, expenses and every other entry belong to you. We claim no ownership of them and we do not sell them. We do not use your ledger for advertising.

We hold your synced records only to provide the service to you — to store them, to send them to your own other devices, and to restore them when you ask. How that works in detail, and who processes the data, is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

You can export your ledger at any time, and you can delete everything from inside the app. See the account & data deletion page.

5Keeping your own backup

Businessly stores your ledger in an encrypted database on your device, and — if you sign in — syncs it to our server and backs it up to your own Google Drive. These protections are real, but no system is perfect.

Please keep your own export as well. Devices are lost, stolen, reset and broken. You are responsible for keeping a copy of any record you cannot afford to lose.

6Businessly Pro

The core app is free. Businessly Pro and Pro Plus are optional paid upgrades. They are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Nothing renews, and nothing is ever charged to you automatically.

On Android

Pro is sold only through Google Play Billing. Google takes the payment and is the seller of record. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Your purchase is tied to the account you are signed in with.

On Windows

The Windows app has no in-app payment system, so payment is arranged directly with the developer using the details shown on the Pro screen inside the app. Once payment is received, the plan is applied to your account by hand. This is usually quick, but it is a manual step and is not instant.

What a paid plan gives you

A plan unlocks the features described in the app at the time of purchase. Features may be added over time. We may change or retire an individual feature, but we will not remove the substance of a plan you have already paid for.

7Refunds

Android purchases are handled by Google. Refund requests go through Google Play under Google's refund policy, and the timing is Google's to decide. We will help where we can.

Windows purchases are handled by us directly. If the plan you paid for was not applied to your account, or the app does not do what the Pro screen said it would, email appzubair@gmail.com and we will put it right or refund you.

8Advertising

The Android app shows a banner advert, served by Google AdMob. It is deliberately not shown on a customer's statement. Ads may be switched off entirely from the server, and a paid plan may reduce or remove them as described in the app.

The Windows app contains no advertising code and shows no ads.

9Things you must not do

10The app is provided as it is

Businessly is provided "as is", without any warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. We work hard to keep it correct, but we do not promise perfection.

Businessly is a record-keeping tool, not professional advice. It does not give accounting, tax, legal or religious advice. The Zakat feature helps you organise your own figures — it is not a religious ruling, and you remain responsible for your own calculation and for checking it with someone qualified.

11Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim — which, for a free user, is nothing.

Nothing in these terms removes a right you have under consumer law that cannot be signed away.

12Ending your use

You may stop using Businessly at any time, sign out, or delete your data from inside the app. Deleting everywhere permanently erases your local data, your server-side ledger and your Google Drive backups, and cannot be undone.

A one-time purchase is not refunded simply because you chose to delete your account.

13Changes to these terms

We update this page and its effective date when the terms change. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will make it visible in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction. If you use the app from another country, you are responsible for following your own local law.
